    Plaquenil and cold symptom

It's used to treat and prevent malaria infection, and to reduce symptoms and progression of autoimmune diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and others. Malaria is spread by mosquitoes, which transmit the parasites that cause the infection, usually in tropical and subtropical parts of the world.

So, I asked about coming off of plaquenil. He said that I could stop plaquenil cold turkey. It slowly decreases effectiveness in the body. After the holidays, I am tempted to stop to see if the symptoms of lupus reappear so he can diagnose me. Did you ask to be put on a cancellation list for your new rheumy? On plaquenil always made me feel very bad. hate it. before my diagnosis I was tired, aneamic, stiff etc since the plaquenil I jus flare all the time. it was so bad I just came off it for several months. got so ill they wanted me to go on chemo based drugs but I did not want that either. so reluctantly went back on the plaquenil. imo its made me worse. Hydroxychloroquine Plaquenil is a drug that is classified as an anti-malarial drug. Plaquenil is prescribed for the treatment or prevention of malaria. It is also prescribed for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and the side effects of lupus such as hair loss, joint pain, and more.

For example, it may be combined with an antibiotic to treat chronic Q-fever, which humans usually catch from farm animals or raw milk. Plaquenil is used to treat other types of infections too.

I used to get them too but really do not get them any longer since being diagnosed with sjogrens and being on plaquenil I used to use L-Lysine too and it.is a horrible time of year - too cold, too dry, we are all getting sick with something or other, add a flare and then cold sores.uuggghh." Plaquenil is very effective for the symptoms of achiness and fatigue. However, there might be a price to pay in terms of retinal toxicity especially after taking it for as long as you have. Given that the alopecia had developed while you were on the plaquenil, it's not clear that going back on it will help that symptom much. Hello all, I am currently new to this site and ran across the discussion about stopping Plaquenil. I have been taking Plaquenil for about 8-9 months and thought that it was not helping me because I still have a fair amount of joint pain, fatigue, muscle pain and so many other issues.
